Last weekend my new french babe best friend Cécile and I went to the still reeling from communism dismal excuse for a town Sokolov. We went for a film festival organized by art students from Prague and didn't really know what to expect. We got to Sokolov around 5:00 but didn't have a map and wandered around looking for the movie theater and asking locals for directions in my very limited Czech. Finally we found it and drank some free beer before seeing Peter Greenway's film Night Watching which is about Rembrandt. It was real cool and afterward we walked to a gymnasium with 60 Czech strangers to sleep on the floor.
The next day we went to see a movie at 11:00 which from what I was able to understand (no subtitles) was about a man who goes to a womans house where she cooks for him and he eats. a lot. Then he eats the furniture and sees spirals. Then we saw a French movie that I didn't understand. Then I ate some cous cous. The last movie we saw was a Belgian film called Vase de Noces which didn't have any dialogue. It was reallll weird. Beastiality and caprophagy weird.
The next day we took the train back to Prague and it was real pretty.
